May 2010 UK cinema film release schedule...

I've remembered to do this on time, so I bring you a full cinema schedule of all the film releases in May 2010...


FRIDAY 7th MAY 2010.

The Back-Up Plan – 12A
Jennifer Lopez stars in this romantic comedy about a woman who gets IVF treatment to be pregnant, just as she starts dating and falling in love with her “perfect” man.

Four Lions – 15
Chris Morris of "Brass Eye" fame directs, and co-writes this British comedy satire, with "Peep Show" writers Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong. A group of British Jihadists go all out in search of glory.

Furry Vengeance – PG
After trying to develop housing on a forest woodland area, Brendan Fraser becomes Nature's most wanted in this fun family comedy.

Hot Tub Time Machine – 15
John Cusack and friends get sent back to 1986 with a chance to do things over, after a freak hot tub accident.

Just For The Record – 18
A comedy mockumentary about the British film industry starring Danny Dyer, Rik Mayall, Colin Salmon and Victoria Silvstedt.

A Nightmare on Elm Street – 18
Samuel Bayer helms this re-imagining of the 1984 classic about Freddie Kruger – a blade-gloved serial killer – and his taunting and murdering of his victims, during their dreams.



WEDNESDAY 12th MAY 2010.

Robin Hood – 12A
Ridley Scott directs this action epic about the life of legendary hero Robin Hood. Russell Crowe takes the lead role.



FRIDAY 14th MAY 2010.

American: The Bill Hicks Story – 15
Documentary charting the life of one of America's most famous and outlaw comedians, narrated by the people who knew him best.

Our Family Wedding – 12A
Two fathers aim to put an end to their feuding way before the wedding day of their children. Family comedy with Forest Whitaker and America Ferrara.



FRIDAY 21st MAY 2010.

Prince of Persia: Sands Of Time – 12A
Disney brings the popular video game into live-action territory with Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton and Sir Ben Kingsley.

Streetdance 3D – PG
Reality talent show dancers Diversity, Flawless and George Sampson face-off in this high-energy dance movie.

Heartless – 18
Jim Sturgess plays a man with a heart-shaped birthmark on his face, who discovers the presence of demons on the streets of London. Timothy Spall and Noel Clarke co-star.

Cop Out – 15
Kevin Smith directs this action comedy with Bruce Willis leading the cast. An ex-NYPD cop goes on the hunt for his stolen rare baseball card, so he can get it back to sell it to pay for his daughter's wedding.

The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans – 18
A crime drama starring Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes. An addiction-fueled detective investigates the murder of five Senegalese immigrants in Post-Katrina New Orleans.



FRIDAY 28th MAY 2010.

The Tooth Fairy – PG
Dwayne Johnson stars as a man forced to spend a week serving as a tooth fairy, in punishment for the bad deeds he's committed. A fun family comedy co-starring Stephen Merchant, Julie Andrews and Seth MacFarlane.

Space Chimps 2 – Zartog Strikes Back (3D) – TBC
Animated sequel to the hit 2008 children's film.

The Losers– 12A
Action packed thriller based on the vertigo adult comic book series. Cast includes Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Chris Evans and Zoe Saldana.

Black Death – 15
Chris Smith of "Severance" fame directs this dark horror set in the early days of the bubonic plague in England. A young Monk enlists help to investigate rumours of a village of survivors, possibly brought back from the dead by Satanic forces.

Sex And The City 2 – 18
Sarah Jessica Parker and friends return for the second big screen installment of the popular television franchise.

[Rec] 2 – 18
Horror sequel to the gruesome 2007 Spanish film about a virus outbreak in a sealed-off apartment complex.
