November 2010 UK cinema release schedule...

Rather a lot late I know - but there's still half of November left, and so I bring you the monthly look at all the releases in UK cinemas this month...


FRIDAY 5th NOVEMBER 2010.

Another Year – 12A
Mike Leigh directs this British drama depicting a year in the life of a blissfully happy older couple; and the family and friends around them that all have some degree of unhappiness to their lives. Stars Jim Broadbent, Ruth Sheen, and Lesley Manville.

Due Date – 15
From “The Hangover” director Todd Phillips; comes this road-trip comedy with an all-star cast including: Robert Downey Jr., Zack Galifianakis, Jamie Foxx, and Juliette Lewis.

Jackass 3D – 18
2010 brings us the third instalment of the idiotic-but-hilarious antics and stunts from the Jackass boys. This time in eye-popping 3D; Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Bam Margera and others, all return for the fun.

Let Me In – 12A
The iconic Hammer studios brings an English-language remake of the 2008 Swedish film “Let The Right One In”, based on the 2004 novel of the same name. Directed by Matt Reeves, and starring “Kick-Ass” starlet Chloe Moretz.



FRIDAY 12th NOVEMBER 2010.

Skyline – 15
Science-fiction thriller, with a cast including Eric Balfour, Scottie Thompson, and Donald Faison. The Human Race finds themselves threatened with extinction, when an extraterrestrial force arrives to swallow up the Earth’s population.

We Are What We Are – 15
Mexican horror drama (originally titled “Somos Lo Que Hay”) directed by Jorge Michel Grau; which aims to do for the Cannibal-genre, what “Let The Right One In” did for the Vampire-genre.

You Again – U
Comedy starring Kristen Bell, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver, Betty White, and Victor Garber. A young woman realises her brother is about to marry her high-school bully, and so sets out to reveal his fiancées true colours to everyone.



MONDAY 15th NOVEMBER 2010.

Green Day: 21st Century Breakdown – 15
For one day only in all cinemas across the UK, catch rock band Green Day’s latest tour – filmed in London and presented on the glorious big screen!



FRIDAY 19th NOVEMBER 2010.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – 12A
Director David Yates helms the penultimate instalment of J.K. Rowling’s popular novel series, about the boy wizard Harry Potter. Dark and thrilling; the regular cast Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, lead the way for this action epic.



WEDNESDAY 24th NOVEMBER 2010.

Unstoppable – 12A
From director Tony Scott comes this action drama, about an out-of-control freight train that threatens to cause catastrophe. Cast include Denzel Washington, Chris Pine, and Rosario Dawson.



FRIDAY 26th NOVEMBER 2010.

The American – 15
George Clooney stars as an assassin hiding out in Italy, on one last assignment. From director Anton Corbijn – this film also stars Paolo Bonacelli, and Violante Placido.

The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets’ Nest – 15
Daniel Alfredson presents the third part in the Swedish film trilogy, based on the novels by Swedish author Stieg Larsson. Lisbeth is released from hospital awaiting trial for three murders, and must prove her innocence with the aid of Journalist Mikael and Millennium magazine. Starring Noomi Repace, and Michael Nyqvist.

London Boulevard – 15
A man newly-released from prison, finds himself falling in love with a reclusive young film star – resulting in him being involved in a duel with a vicious gangster. Starring Colin Farrell, Keira Knightley, and Ray Winstone.

Machete – 18
After a betrayal by the organisation who hired him; and ex-Federale launches into a brutal revenge spree against his former boss. Crime action comedy from “Planet Terror” director Robert Rodriguez, with Danny Trejo, Robert De Niro, and Jessica Alba.

So that's everything, and it kinda looks like a quiet month to be honest (aside from the penultimate
