Something has got me excited -
Doing my late night trawl for all the newest happenings in cinemaland, and all the new promotional posters and stills, I've come across something that GENUINELY excites me...the poster for the up-coming, Daniel Stamm directed and Eli Roth produced horror, "The Last Exorcism".
Exorcism films are always the weakest for me in terms of scare or psychological horror (aside from "The Exorcist" which I viewed for the first time at a VERY young age) - but this film shows promise. Starring Patrick Fabian (popular television actor appearing in show such as "Veronica Mars" and "Joan of Arcadia"), the film follows his character Reverand Cotton Markus, who is asked to perform what he thinks is a "normal" exorcism on a disturbed young girl. Being so used to accepting monetary gain for his work, his conscience helps him decide to take this case free of charge, but with the condition that he can bring a film crew along to record, what he aims to make his last "exorcism". Turning up at the already blood-soaked rural Louisianna farm, nothing on Earth could prepare him for the evil that's about to take place - or the hard to-the-core shaking his beliefs are about to come under. Does he have the time and strength to save the girl Nell - and everyone else - before it's too late?
Now for the poster that has excited me so much - be warned it's not for the faint of heart....
If you're as much of a horror film geek as me, that poster has got to have to wanting more. The film is currently in post production and will have it's World Premiere at the 2010 Los Angeles Film festival next month. With a current (US) release date of 27th August 2010, I cannot wait to see what this film has in store! Just as a final treat, here's the first promotional still from the movie. Not as exciting as the poster I know - but definately giving you a feel for the film....Flix Out.

Film News and Reviews...
I've seen a few Japanese horrors...like the ring and ju-on but i saw them after the Hollywood and instantly regretted ever watching the Hollywood ones first - if at all. Paranormal Activity actually got me sleepless for a bit, but not long enough. I like being so scared I can't sleep for weeks
Also, it took me a few seconds to get this poster for "The Last Exorcism" when I first saw it - but then i took it all in and am quite looking forward to this film now - hope it can scare me! :]
